Moredun Bioinformatics Facility
The Bioinformatics Unit was established in 2004 to provide a centre for bio-computing research at MRI and to exploit the bioinformatic content of projects across the Bacteriology, Parasitology and Virology Divisions.
Our principle areas of work are in genome annotation and analysis, gene expression, proteomics analysis, data management and data presentation. In this we work with Biomathematics & Statistics Scotland (BioSS) and the Proteomics Unit, and the Epidemiology Unit at MRI as well as individual research projects.
The Bioinformatic web pages came on line in July 2006 to provide bioinformatic content for the genome projects :
Supplementary information about MRI publications can be found here.
