Surveillance Services
MRI provides a pathology and virology surveillance service through the Scottish Agricultural College's Veterinary Service Division to the Scottish Executive Rural Affairs Department (SERAD). This contributes to surveillance of disease in Scottish herds and flocks, and thus to strategies for disease control and eradication.
MRI also surveillance of farm livestock in Scotland in collaboration with the SAC Veterinary Science Division.

Moredun Proteomics Facility
Moredun has established a Proteomics Facility (MPF) with financial assistance from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department (SEERAD). The unit supports internal and external colleagues from academic, research and commercial environments. Facilities include DNA sequencing, 2D electrophoresis, MALDI-ToF MS, SELDI-ToF MS, HPLC and peptide sequencing.
